Martin Baker Chief Constable Dorset Police
Martin Baker became Chief Constable of Dorset Police in January 2005. 

He served previously with Gloucestershire Police as Deputy Chief Constable and also with Gwent, West Mercia and Metropolitan Police forces. Throughout his police career, Martin has worked in a number of fields, including the anti- terrorist branch in the Metropolitan Police and more recently as the Association of Chief Police Officers national lead on cross-border serious and organised crime. 

In 2006 Martin Baker was awarded Her Majesty The Queen's Police Medal for distinguished police service. 

He has an Honours degree in Policing and Police Studies and an MBA (Public Service).
