Andy Frost Assistant Chief Constable
Having started his policing career with Northamptonshire in 1987, Andy spent four years as a patrol officer in Daventry before moving to Weston Favell, Northampton. In 1992 he was promoted to sergeant and spent two years serving in Corby, including six months as a detective sergeant. 

Then came a move back to Weston Favell and in April 1995 he took on the role of operations and planning sergeant and staff officer supporting the area commander. In 1996 he spent five months as an acting inspector in the Force Control Room, before moving back to Northampton. 

Promotion to inspector came in September 1997 when he was put in charge of a project focusing on planning custody provision and working practices. That project completed, he became commander of the eastern sector of Northampton for two years, until he was promoted to chief inspector at Daventry in September 2000. 

In 2002 he was promoted to superintendent in charge of the Community Action department and then in September 2003 he took command of the Force Communications Centre at Headquarters. In 2004 he transferred to Bedfordshire Police, to take on the challenging role of Bedford and North Bedfordshire divisional commander. For the last two years Andy has been commander for Luton.
