Charles Speed was born at Blean, Canturbury, and is known to have lived at the following addresses.

61 Essex Street, Whitstable,
27 Canturbury Road, Whitstable

I can confirm the following: Constable 260 Charles Reginald Speed was born in 1890 at Whitstable Kent joined the force being posted to Tonbridge in February 1912 [following training], served also at Edenbridge (still pat of Tonbridge division). After passing the sergeants exam in December 1917 eventually transferred to Sittingbourne on promotion in 1922. Pensioned 1937. Residence prior to joining 61 Essex Street Whitstable, grocers asst. before joining.
