Hartlepool Borough Special Constable medal
The front of the medal has the coat of arms of the Borough of Hartlepool. The medal is made of silver and 116 were issued, unfortunately they did not name the medals.  The medals were presented in July 1919 at the Justice Room, Hartlepool by the mayor Councillor CJ Watson. This medal to their special constables after the bombardment of Hartlepool by the German Fleet in 1914, and the air raids of 1915-18, also the destruction of a Zeppelin off the nearby coast.
