Bristol Constabulary PC 75
PC George Arthur Copp, 75 'D' division, on retirement 1938

Served as a Sapper in the Royal Engineers during WW1.
He was one of the 265 Bristol Police Constables who served in the armed forces during WW1.

Joined Bristol Constabulary in 1912.
He received his Bristol Police Long Service medal 5-6-1929 and bar for 22 years service 30-5-1934 which means if he retired in 1938 that he served 26 years with the force.
The medals that he is wearing in the photo from right to left are the British War medal and Victory medal for his WW1 service and the Bristol Police Long Service medal.
