Simon Parr, was appointed Deputy Chief Constable for Hertfordshire in June 2007. 
 
Simon is responsible for Organisational Intelligence and Development, Human Resources, Professional Standards and Legal Services departments. 

Previously head of the Operations Department for Sussex Police, Simon had been with the force since 1983. During that time he spent three years as Commander of East Downs Division and has extensive experience of community and tactical policing.

Since the Brighton Grand Hotel bombing, Simon has also been involved in the management of major incidents and was responsible for Sussex’s anti-terrorist strategy.
