Hartlepool Borough Police Special Constable tribute letter
HRH The Prince of Wales KG visited Hartlepool on Thursday 3rd July 1930, and the Watch Committee issued a card tribute letter (size 8" x 6") to each special constable who was on duty that day in appreciation of their work.  This particular one was issued to SC William Edward Bateman who was SC number 6.  He lived Watson St, Hartlepool and was a fitter by trade
