The book is A4 size and contains at least 217 pages plus 8 colour plates. There are hundreds of illustrations of items together with many reproductions of actual photographs, all from within the authors collection excepting three or four photographs with acknowledgements. The book is bound in a relatively stiff soft-cover.
This is a first and limited edition. Only 500 copies have been printed and each book has been numbered.
The price of the book is £29.95 plus shipping and handling of £3.50 within the UK. It will be mailed in a bubble-padded envelope for protection. |

John says: I started collecting Scottish insignia in 1985 when I was offered a group of nine Scottish badges by a dealer. There were eight headgear badges and a shoulder-badge and I instantly tucked a prayer-mat under my arm and visited my bank manager for a loan. This was the beginning of our Scottish collection, and I reckon that I've been writing the book on and off for about 8 years. It's been constantly amended as new knowledge has been gleaned and as the collection grew. |
