 Chrome 'D' ring cuffs each inscribed Hiatt Best, warranted, hard, British Made,249. Key has No. 11 inscribed. These were issued to a PLA Police officer around 1965 and he retained them until retirement in 1995. The picture shows the worst side with the only substantial blemish to the chrome plating. They have restrained a few prisoners but are in very good condition and excellent working order. They do not have any PLA Police identification on them £45.00

PC Mac the Knife with 'P.L.A.' bladed knife, stuck in his back, over 'Gone to POT' scroll

In 1992 the Government hived off the PLA Police & Port of Tilbury

A management buy-out ensued under the new title Port of Tilbury London (P.O.T.)

This controversial memento was devised by myself & a PLA Constable's Federation Rep.

The 'P.L.A.' knife, stabs the Policeman in the back whilst the scroll declares 'Gone to P.O.T' ! 

Of the 15 tie tacs I commissioned for charities, this is the only one the Chief Officer would not buy!

    (4) Port of London Authority Police: inscribed 16"medium brown wood, dark brown leather thong, PLA & 387 PLA stamped faintly on shaft, circa 1909, obsolete force 1992. Has a slight bend on the finger grips area - about 5 degrees at the very top,  probably caused by having been left in hot sun on the back parcel shelf of a patrol car, . This is not discernible when viewed on the outside or inside of the bend. It is only discernible when viewed from either side. Otherwise in very good condition £60.00
